Looking back at these two months on the road, time has flown by. I can’t believe that my journey as an ELC—which I had been anticipating since December 2012—is in full swing. Although it has only been a couple of months, I have already made countless memories, formed friendships and grown from this amazing experience. Each visit brings new opportunities and challenges.
I recently had the chance to work with the Gamma Iota chapter at Texas Tech. These women were so dedicated, excited and committed to having an amazing recruitment. Their recruitment team worked tirelessly, and I was amazed to see that from early mornings to late nights, their passion never dwindled. Teamwork was essential to their success; chapter members, alums, moms and volunteers alike pitched in and dedicated their time to ensure that the decorations were perfect, the skit was amazing and the food was delicious. All of this hard work did not go unnoticed, as the chapter welcomed 74 amazing new members!
As I travel, I learn something from each Alpha Phi I meet. Each woman in this organization, chapter members worldwide, my fellow consultants, my mentors, advisors and more, teach me something. Whether it is about dedication, courage, passion, teamwork, or even how to enjoy life a little more, I am changed for the better. As I leave each chapter I visit, I am sad, yet I take a little bit of them all with me! I am lucky to have such an amazing experience and cannot wait to see where this path takes me next. Stay tuned!
