Room service, airport food, and Peppermint White Chocolate Mocha Coffees from Starbucks are all temptations women face when they are jet-setting all over the U.S. Whether you are on a business trip or a vacation, eating healthy and working out are probably the last thing on your mind. However, spending a little extra time each day focusing on treating your body right can help increase your focus, energy, and most importantly, your HAPPINESS!

After 8 months of traveling, I have discovered a number of different resources that help me maintain a healthy life style. Here are some tips that can hopefully help
  • Travel with a jump rope and work out band in your suit case. They are light weight, cheap, and effective.

  • Take 10 minutes in the morning to get 250 jumps in as well as some good arm and leg stretches.

  • Pack healthy snacks for your flight such as apples, raisins, or granola bars. All three of these are light on your wallet and belly!

  • Take advantage of your area and some fresh air! Go to http://www.mapmyrun.com/ and find a new path to power walk or run on in your business or vacation spot.

  • Portions, portions, portions. Remember, when you are eating out at restaurants, portions are twice as large as a meal you would eat at home. As soon as you get your meal, cut the meal in half. Enjoy half and eat the other half later!
